I was dragged to a cage by three Clovis police officers while out CopBlocking. The four of us had joined up to film the police all day sunday and headed into Clovis. The town of Clovis is a white yuppie area with a lot of money in it. The Clovis police are known for harassing people over their appearance. I have heard more than one story about Clovis police serving up a beat down and telling whoever is on the receiving end to “go to Fresno.” They also are not fond of anyone who uses alternative transportation. As a contributor to the CopBlock Network occasionally I am asked to appear on the radio show and talk about a story I wrote or offer an opinion. I will doing that in roughly an hour and a half.
The topic for the segment is an officer who ran a stop sign and killed a senior citizen. The officer was not heading to an emergency but he had his overhead lights on.
The intersection was infamous for accidents and neighbors admitted that this was not the first time someone had died from an accident there.
Not too much was said from the department but the officer resigned. A criminal investigation is underway and the prosecutors office declined to comment.

Rev. Floyd Harris Jr. has long been a thorn in the side of the Fresno police department and the police chief Jerry Dyer. Not the typical pastor his services often start with short films about the civil rights movement, Martin Luther King and the Black Panthers. Rev. Harris has followed in their footsteps educating the next generation about their rights when dealing with police, self respect and the value of hard work. Chicago – Monday a federal judge ruled that Jordan Marsh intentionally hid evidence and subsequently lied about his reason for doing so, in the fatal 2011 police shooting death of Darius Pinex. Marsh, one of Chicago’s top attorneys, is the second attorney to resign due to unethical and illegal actions during the proceedings; In August of 2015 Thomas Aumann resigned from the department. Three officers with the Kodiak police department were involved in the pepper spraying of Nick Pletnikoff, who was born with autism, before arresting him. The police were alerted to the 29-year-old after tourists claimed he had entered their car and was rifling through the contents of the vehicle.
Kathleen Gambling, Phillip Christman and Sergeant Francis de la Fuente, the officers who arrested Pletnikoff, have been the target of serious criticism from the community.
